Research on Phillippe Halsman. I started off looking at his work as it is a very classical look - especially in portraiture. This was where I was inspired for exploring portrait photography. I really liked his timeless photos of famous faces. Looking more at composition, poses and lighting.

I came across Philippe Halsman through a search on Magnum Photos and what i liked about his photos are the fact they are so classical and timeless. I think the fact that they are in black and white make them timeless. Also the lighting in these are subtle but effective.

The photos seem very simple but i think that's what makes it so beautiful.
